American settlers arrived in 1876 and established their homesteads at the site of some springs south of Flagstaff. This site would eventually become the community of Kachina Village. Kachina Village became a popular vacation home community in 1965. As a bedroom community for Flagstaff, it has since grown to house 3,154 people as of the 2020 census.

If Kachina was a musician, It Would Be….
Björk. Kachina Village has a fabulously eclectic feel just like the music of Björk. The homes and area are beautiful and there are so many different styles. Put them all together and you get a great neighborhood, just like a bunch of different sounding songs put together make for a beautiful album by Björk.
If Kachina was a dog, it Would Be….

A Siberian Husky – they are friendly, intelligent, outgoing & hardworking, just like a lot of people that gravitate towards living in the Kachina neighborhood. Also, they usually enjoy the outdoors, lots of trees & like hitting the trails.

If Kachina was a Star Wars character, It Would Be…

Ewok. Like the adorable inhabitants of the forest moon of Endor, Kachina homes tend to be a bit smaller, adorable, and surrounded by beautiful wilderness, while maintaining a wonderful sense of community.

If Kachina was a car, It Would Be…

A 1965 Toyota Land Cruiser, rugged, popular and all-business.

If Kachina was a professional athlete, It Would Be…

J. J. Watt (recently retired Defensive End for AZ Cardinals) because like Kachina, J J has a rugged, “everyman”, outdoorsy quality which is endearing… much like the Kachina village and its residents.

Warm and bright sunshine in the summer, chilly mornings with colorful aspens in the fall, snow with freezing temperatures in the winter, and a mix of everything in the spring. The average high in the summer is 80ºF and a low of 53ºF. During the cold season of late November to early March, the average daily high is below 49ºF. Market Trends

Flagstaff has historically had a market based on high demand and low inventory. This creates a seller’s market, with buyers scooping up Flagstaff homes quickly as they come on the market. In the past 20 years, home prices have increased in Arizona by an average rate of 4.15%. In 2021 – they doubled! Although new homes are being built in Flagstaff and surrounding communities like Bellemont and Kachina Village, we expect it to continue to be a seller's market for years to come.

Flagstaff is a tightly knit community that offers small-town vibes with all the city amenities you need. With its bustling downtown life, numerous mountain adventures and active Northern Arizona University campus, Flagstaff is home to a diverse community.
