How long have you been a REALTOR®?

After graduating from Northern Arizona University in 2005 I decided to get my real estate license in 2006 as a way to start my own business and live in my hometown. I did have to endure the epic market crash, but the perseverance made me a better agent. It is hard to believe that 13 years have gone by. Time flies when you are having fun!

Why did you decide to become a REALTOR®?

Honestly, a friend of mine was taking the real estate course and I had some free time. I thought, “I will buy a house someday so I could learn something in this class.” I ended up loving everything about it. It was not the career I dreamed about as a kid, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. It allows me to use my business and communication degrees and it is ever changing. It challenges me everyday, and, therefore, offers great rewards.

What is your real estate specialty?

I specialize in residential home sales and love helping both the buying and selling sides. I love helping first-time home buyers, and love it when they are ready to buy their move up homes and continue achieving their dreams. Also, I love when I can help someone sell their home to realize their retirement dreams. Furthermore, helping people who have just moved to Flagstaff gives me the opportunity to show people my hometown and why I love it here.

What do you love most about being a REALTOR®?

It’s simple, the relationships. Buying and selling a home is an intimate process. Getting to know my clients’ wants and needs, and keeping the process as stress free as possible is very important to me. Most of my clients have become friends and I am so honored that my friends and family trust me to help them with their large investments. Recently at a community event I ran into past clients. When introducing me to their friends they said, “The only people that knew we were pregnant were our parents and our REALTOR®.” It is so amazing to play such a big role in peoples’ lives.

What do you enjoy when you are not helping your clients?

I love to work hard so that I can play hard. It is easy to play hard in Flagstaff. I love exploring the outdoors and my favorite transportation method are my feet. Trail running in Flagstaff is, by far, my favorite activity, hands down. Stay tuned for my trail running videos! I also love spending time with my husband and five year old son. As often as we can we travel to anywhere we have the opportunity. At home we hike, enjoy live music and spend time with friends every opportunity we get. Also, a good bottle of red wine and a book always puts a smile on my face.
