Following The Ninth: In The Footsteps of Beethoven’s Final Symphony

This Thursday the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra is hosting a film screening event at the Orpheum Theater, featuring Following the Ninth, a documentary about Beethoven’s incredible journey that inspired his last symphony. Tickets are sold at the door. Visit OrpheumTheater for details.

Masterworks V – Brahms and Beethoven

Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra’s Friday concert is the perfect finish to the Beethoven film, as the group performs Beethoven’s 9th and Brahm’s  Schicksalslied, op. 54 (Song of Destiny). For tickets, visit flagstaffsymphony.org.

Disney’s Little Mermaid – Presented by Alpine Community Theater

Be prepared to be enchanted this weekend at Alpine Community Theater’s production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid! This performance has a cast of over 100 community members who are ages 4-adult, and features beloved songs like “Part of Your World” and “Under The Sea.” Learn more at actflagstaff.org.

Flagstaff Earth Day 2018

Come celebrate Earth Day this Saturday at Flagstaff’s 2018 festival, taking place at Bushmaster Park. The day starts with a community clean up with Arizona Conservation Corps (afterward there will be breakfast from Whole Foods Market), then live music from Sambatuque, Heartwood, and the Tha ‘Yoties, plus various free workshops, and food trucks! Video Production Workshop

This Saturday the Flagstaff Arts Council is hosting a special video production workshop with Nick Geib. The class covers cinematography, audio, and editing fundamentals while showing how to best showcase your artwork or business through video. Visit the link above for tickets.
